Hello and good evening to you! Tonight we are giving our Orange Moon pages a good old fashioned clean-up. You might find things wonky (I love that word) for the following weekend. However, on the other end of our dusting and moving of aetherweb furniture we will have an even better site for you to explore! So please pardon our clean-up dust for the next few days. The sneezes signal better things to come! Unless you’re sneezing because you have inhaled a quantum quirk. If that has happened please seek out your closest quantum physicist and hopefully we haven’t accidentally exposed you to a tiny beast that can cause gray holes in the sinus cavity! 🙂
I just happened to spy this at the Steampunk Symposium as a little red riding hood was walking by our table. Isn’t it great?! It’s a leather holder for your tea cup so that it can be on your utility belt – and I sooo support a tea utility belt! I didn’t happen to get a chance to visit the vendor who was selling these. I’m going to look around online and see if I can find them and of course share that link!
Spring Is coming, we PROMISE! In the meantime, there is a remedy for the impatience that can seep into our souls during this time of year…it’s TEA of course! But this time, we don’t want you to drink it, we want you to bathe in it.
Add some magic to your bathwater. Create a sachet of chamomile and some epsom salts. Make a nice big one and tie it over the faucet so as to let the hot bathwater pour through as you fill up your tub. Both ingredients are soothing, great for your skin and a fantastic de-stressor. Magically speaking, chamomile can be used to represent the sun, success, grounding and love.
Soak in this mixture as you let your negative thoughts go. Picture the stress, negativity, and any blockages leaving your body and go into the water. Then stay in the tub as it drains. Let everything drain out before you exit the tub. Then go brew yourself a nice cup of your favorite blend, wrap up in something soft and refill with goodness! You’ll be refreshed and ready for spring.
Be sure to take a moment for yourself this weekend. Enjoy! Come chat with us! (photo credit unknown)

What are your favorite tea ingredients? (Photo by Vkrees)
Making small batches of tea more frequently ensures freshness and rich flavor. Today’s tea is Butterfly Circus. It smells like a warm summer afternoon!
May we introduce you to Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab tea scents? Firethorn Berry Tea is inspired by the gorgeous movie Crimson Peak. And Gingerbread, Matcha Tea, and Raw Mint. Lovely scents from a lovely shop. Check out all of their many wonderful scents. (My personal favorite is Ice inspired by David Mack’s Kabuki.)
Happy New Year to you all! It’s been a little while since we’ve had a proper post from us society gals, so here we go! The winter season has seen our little society a bit on the extra busy side with all those domestic necessities. As a result we’re a little light on dedicated posts for our tea and tales. We’d love to say this is all about to change, but truth is you will probably see more from us when the world starts to thaw a little. Till then remember you can always come chat with us facebook. 🙂
Happy Holidays, however you celebrate them, from the Orange Moon Tea Society. May the approaching new year be a good one!
There is nothing so beautiful as the Russian Samovars and Russian tea glasses. Something fun to try for your holiday party or to package up as gifts is a Russian Tea! Try this recipe on it’s own or perhaps doctored with a bit o rum.
1 C instant iced tea powder
2 C instant orange drink mix (Tang)
1 3oz pkg powdered lemonade mix
2 C white sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
Mix thoroughly. To make, mix about 4 Tbsps to 1 C hot water.

“There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been!” a quote by Percy Bysshe Shelley. Though a slight deviation from our normal tea programming, an autumn quote worth noting. 😉
Yes, I think we would. It being October, the heart of autumn, we thought it was an Emilie Autumn sort of day. You have to appreciate someone who is able to play dress up everyday.
As the title implies, it was quite a wonderful night. Our host Acadia put together a beautiful, beautiful tea party! And so much happened throughout the evening. We’re relaxing in out hotel room having a glass of wine to unwind (Witch’s Brew!) and relax. We’ll have a full event recap as soon as we get back home. Thank you Acadia and our tea ladies for a wonderful night!
